Isaiah 58:6-8 Sommer Haven has a more than 50 year history of providing resources and training to the needy around the world. Because of this God given success, the demands for Sommer Haven's help continue to grow. Tons of donated food are sorted and distributed free of charge to needy children, senior citizens, the homeless, rehabilitation centers, Indian reservations, and to families in crisis... locally, nationally, and internationally. Sommer Haven is helping meet the food challenges in third world countries by sustainable agriculture, animal husbandry, and water purification. They use the appropriate technology of harvesting, drying, canning, and preserving of food. Sommer Haven sends teams to developing countries to train and raise up indigenous workers in preventative health care, first aid, hygiene, and nutrition so they can take care of their own community or village. Through the distribution of food and clothes, emergency relief, education, and training programs, Sommer Haven is making a difference.
